Rick Snell is a guitarist and singer based in Brooklyn, NY.   He is the founder and host of the Mona’s Monday Night Bluegrass Session, a weekly showcase of some of the best American roots music in the New York area since 2011.  He has shared the stage with  Regina Spektor (also touring with her on two national tours with his project Only Son), Anaïs Mitchell, Adam Green (Moldy Peaches), Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), actor/singers Rachel Zegler, Ed Helms, Will Ferrell, and Dominic Chianese, and bluegrass artists Billy Strings, Andy Statman, and Michael Cleveland. He’s played on Broadway in shows like Wicked, Oklahoma!, The Outsiders, and Water For Elephants.  The music he recorded for GEICO’s “Better Than” Ad campaign debuted on the Super Bowl and ran for several years.  He is a regular session guitarist and has performed at venues like The Beacon Theatre, Town Hall, Lincoln center, 54 Below, The Greek, The Fox, Kennedy Center, and The United Nations, to name a few.
