Rick Snell is a guitarist and singer based in Brooklyn, NY.   He is the founder and host of the Mona’s Monday Night Bluegrass Session, a weekly showcase of some of the best American roots music in the New York area since 2011.  He has shared the stage with  Anaïs Mitchell, Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Adam Green (Moldy Peaches), actor/singers Rachel Ziegler, Will Ferrell, Ed Helms, and Dominic Chianese, and bluegrassers Billy Strings, Michael Cleveland, and Andy Statman.  He’s played on Broadway in shows like Wicked, Oklahoma, and Water For Elephants.  The music he recorded for GEICO’s “Better Than” Ad campaign debuted on the Super Bowl and ran for several years.  He is a regular session guitarist and has performed at venues like The Beacon Theatre, Town Hall, Lincoln center, 54 Below, The Greek, The Fox, Kennedy Center, and The United Nations, to name a few.
